Mass Effect Legendary Edition releases May 14th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with next-gen upgrades also confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

It’s definitely a bummer knowing only a single DLC is missing from the Legendary Edition remaster, but fans can take solace in knowing literally every other piece of single-player content will be available in the game. Though Pinnacle is regrettably gone for the time being, fans can still encounter references to the top-secret facility embedded in Mass Effect 3.

While players on PC and Xbox 360 have likely had little trouble entering Pinnacle’s challenges, the PS3 version did not feature the content at all, with BioWare citing similar difficulties attributed to the “corrupted” state of source files. The absence of Pinnacle Station in Mass Effect Legendary Edition likely won’t come as a surprise to longtime fans, especially for those familiar with the PlayStation 3 version of the game. In addition to exciting firefights, Pinnacle also memorably awarded the player with their very own interstellar apartment, with the remote residence intended to act as a base of operations throughout the remainder of Shepard’s travels. Following the meteor-centric Bring Down the Sky, the content marked the second and final DLC for the game, stepping aboard the titular space station and allowing the Commander to test their skills in a series of holographic combat simulators. Pinnacle Station first released back in 2009 as an add-on for the original Mass Effect. And so, leaving it all on the cutting-room floor, it was heartbreaking.”
